Individuals may pay or appeal a parking ticket at the Tax Collector’s Office, 7 Widger Road.

Appeal a Parking Ticket

Parking hearings are held once every two months. To contest a parking ticket, please complete this form. Appeals MUST be made within 21 days from the date of ticket issuance. Please include any photos or documents supporting your appeal as well as a copy of the ticket (do not include original). If you are appealing a ticket for an unregistered or uninspected vehicle, proof of current registration and/or inspection is required.

**Please note, If you are appealing an overnight parking ticket, the fine will only be dismissed under extenuating circumstances (I.e. medical reasons, incapacitated vehicle etc), and will need to be backed up with paper work **

Pay a Parking Ticket

Payment of tickets received for parking violations occurring in Marblehead can be mailed in using the pre-addressed sealable ticket or dropped off at the following locations:

  • National Grand Bank, 91 Pleasant Street
  • Tax Collector’s Office, 7 Widger Road
  • or tickets can now be paid on-line at www.kelleyryan.com

Tickets that have been marked at the Registry of Motor Vehicles for non-renewal of license and registration must be paid by cash or bank check (money order). Personal checks are not accepted.

What if my car gets towed during a snow emergency?

Who do I call?
If your vehicle is towed during a snow emergency you should call the Marblehead Police Department’s non-emergency phone line at (781) 631-1212 to confirm the location of your vehicle.

Where is my car?
Towed vehicles will be stored at the Town’s impound lot located at the transfer station, 5 Woodfin Terrace.

How do I get my car back?
Vehicles will be released only to registered owners. Owners will need to possess proof of ownership, proof of insurance, a valid driver’s license, and proof that the fine has been [aid in order to claim the vehicle. Bill’s Auto Clinic, the Town’s towing contractor, should be contacted at (978) 745-287 to make arrangements to release the vehicle. If the vehicle is not claimed after a 72 hour period the vehicle will be towed to Bill’s Auto Clinic at 2 Commercial Street in Salem.

How much will it cost?
Town Meeting improved an increase in the snow emergency violation ticket to $100. If your vehicle is towed, you will also be charged a towing charge of $108 for the tow, a storage charge of $35 per day, and a mileage charge if the vehicle requires a tow to Bill’s Auto Clinic Tow Yard.
