Consumer’s Guide to Massachusetts Requirements for Carbon Monoxide Alarms

In November 2005, then-Governor Mitt Romney signed into law a bill known as “Nicole’s Law.”  This law places certain requirements on owners of all residential properties to install and maintain carbon monoxide (CO) alarms.  The Massachusetts Department of Fire Services has published a Consumer’s Guide to Massachusetts Requirements for Carbon Monoxide Alarms to familiarize residential property owners with these regulations.
